Startup in Suriname



Rexarc recently announced a recent start-up/commissioning of a Model 301 acetylene plant and filling operation in Suriname. D. Roopram, the owner of Gold Agri N.V. plans to open the facility on September 23, 2011 with an open house celebration. Rexarc’s Model 301 plant is designed to be portable and mobile allowing for our customers to remain flexible in their acetylene gas production needs.

In the attached photos, Director of Technical Services, Bruce Holman can be seen pictured with D. Roopram and others with Gold Agri as they complete the installation and successful start up of the plant.

Rexarc Appoints Greg Rush – Director of Operations

Rexarc International has recently announced that Greg Rush has joined the company as Director of Operations. Greg will be overseeing materials management, production, safety and maintenance within a team culture and a focus on continuous improvement. President Jim Bowman stated that “Greg brings a unique mix of production management, manufacturing experience and supply chain expertise from several different industries to assist Rexarc in furthering its Mission and Vision and we look forward to the value he brings to our organization.” Greg’s career has been highlighted by positions of increasing responsibility, starting off on the plant floor as a fabricator/assembler and bringing ever increasing value to several organizations as a supervisor, team leader, manufacturing manager and most recently as General Manager. His more than twenty year career in manufacturing and production has been typified by leading teams to accomplish production deadlines, make efficiency improvements, and streamlining materials management

Jeffrey Meyer, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Rexarc International announced today that Ambassador Charles A. Ford, Deputy Director General of the U.S. Commercial Service, visited Rexarc International on Thursday, March 17th, 2011. Ambassador Ford, Regional Director Michael Miller and International Trade Specialist Deborah Dirr of the U.S. Commercial Service met with Rexarc’s CEO Rob Moyer, President Jim Bowman and other senior managers to discuss Rexarc’s international initiatives and the role the U.S. Commercial Service plays in advancing global trade.

Rexarc announces 4 new acetylene plants orders in January

Jeffrey Meyer, Vice President Sales and Marketing of Rexarc announced today that Rexarc has inked 4 new acetylene plant projects in January of 2011. The plants will be manufactured in West Alexandria, OH and exported to different areas of the world to 3 major customers. Meyer stated “Rexarc is proud to produce the acetylene plants that will help fuel the world economies – Rexarc has several hundred plants in operation around the world today and we support those plants every day with spare parts and technical support to keep those plants producing at an optimum level under the strictest safety guidelines.”

Rexarc Announces Price Increase on Select Items

Rexarc Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jeffrey Meyer, recently announced a price increase on select items to go into effect February 2011.

Meyer stated, “Rexarc has not had a price increase in over two years. As some raw material prices have increased we have found it necessary to adjust the price of some of our products. Having said that, over half of our Part Numbers are remaining the same price as 2010, to assist our distributors and end users work through the current economic conditions.”

Rexarc will honor any quotes completed up to January 31st, 2011 with 2010 pricing for thirty days.

We look forward to working with our distributors to bring solution design, technical support one part number ordering, and fast turnaround to our customers in 2011.

Rexarc to attend and present at Gasworld African Gases Conference 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya Dec. 1st and 2nd.

Rexarc has just announced that the President of Rexarc, Jim Bowman, will be attending the Gasworld www.gasworld.com African Gases Conference in Nairobi, Kenya at the Safara Park Hotel. In addition, Mr. Bowman will be presenting a paper on “the economics of running an acetylene plant.” The focus of this presentation will be on helping companies determine the commercial impact of manufacturing and distributing acetylene.

Rexarc, recent awardee of the State of Ohio, Excellence in Exporting Award, exports to over 40 countries, include countries within Africa. Jim Bowman stated “the African continent is an important market for us now and into the future and we look forward to focusing on this market in the coming year.”
